Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies this website uses and how you can decide about them. It complements our Privacy Policy, in accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29733 and its Regulations approved by Supreme Decree No. 016-2024-JUS.

Last updated: October 26, 2026.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), do the same job. In this policy we call all of them "cookies."

Depending on who sets them, they are first-party (from this website) or third-party (from another company whose service appears on the page). Depending on their purpose, they can be strictly necessary, preference, analytics or advertising cookies.

2. Controller

This website is run by Chaucato Adventure, with its operating base at Antigua Panamericana Sur Km 234, Pisco – Paracas, Ica, Peru. You can reach us at reservas@chaucatoadventure.com or on WhatsApp at +51 946 211 333.

3. Cookies this website uses

We use very few. We use no analytics or advertising cookies and no social media tracking pixels, and our server sets no cookies.

Google may also use them under its own policy. If you are signed in to Google, it may also use its session cookies.Set by Google; usually between 6 and 13 months

Google’s cookies are only set if you accept them. If you reject them, the site works the same: you will see a notice instead of the map, and the “Open in Google Maps” button stays available.

4. Third-party services that set no cookies

When pages load, your browser connects to these services, which receive your IP address but set no cookies:

  • Google Fonts: the site’s typefaces.
  • Tailwind CSS (cdn.tailwindcss.com): the site’s styles.

The WhatsApp buttons open the WhatsApp app or website (Meta Platforms) only when you tap them. From then on, WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies.

5. Legal basis

The strictly necessary chaucato-cookies entry is needed to remember your choice, so it does not require consent. Google Maps’ third-party cookies are only used with your prior, free and informed consent, which you give by clicking “Accept” in the cookie notice or “Accept cookies and show map” on the map itself. Nothing is accepted in advance.

6. How to accept, reject or change your choice

The first time you visit, a notice with “Accept” and “Reject” buttons appears. Your choice is stored only in your browser and you can change it at any time with this button:

Current status: —

If you withdraw your consent, the map will no longer load on your next visits. Cookies Google already set remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them (see the next point).

7. How to delete or block cookies in your browser

You can also view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings:

If you clear this site’s data, your choice is cleared too and the cookie notice will appear again.

8. International transfers

Google LLC processes the data from its cookies on servers that may be outside Peru, including in the United States, under its own safeguards. See its Privacy Policy and how Google uses cookies.

9. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO) as explained in our Privacy Policy, and file a complaint with Peru’s National Personal Data Protection Authority if you believe we did not handle your request.

10. Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies, for example analytics cookies, we will update this page with its date and ask for your consent again before using them.
